Monmouth has been lucky to secure some funds from the - Connect 2 Project (Big Lottery Funded). Working with MCC and Sustrans the money is to be spent to help provide safe and useful routes in and around the town for walking and cycling. There is a very active group working on behalf of the community, to establish these useful and recreational routes. One of the many benefits of these routes would be to cut down the traffic in and around the town, allowing people to shop, visit and go to school on foot or by bike more conveniently and safely.

On Thursday Sept 18th we have planned to provide experienced cyclists to lead “CYCLE TRAINS” from various locations.
WHAT IS A CYCLE TRAIN? – a group of proficient cyclists grouped together for their safety, and led by an experienced cyclist.

7.45 am Jingle Street (Junct. Redhouse Farm Rd.)
7.55 am Wonastow Road (Ind. Est Robert Price)
8.05 am Rockfield (Junct. St.Thomas Rd./Watery Lane)
8.15 am Osbaston (Exit Vauxhall field/bridge)

Train 2.

7.30 am Dingestow – Village hall
7.45 am Jingle Street (Junct. Redhouse Farm Rd.)

RETURN CYCLETRAIN will be led by experienced cyclists.
All cycletrains will return via Monmouth, Monnow Street, before following the route safely home.
During the day your bikes security will be guaranteed at the school.
HELMETS MUST BE WORN available free if requested.
